Daytime Bunko
Evening Bunko
 Bunko
Bunco is a fun group that meets once a month at various member's homes. You do not need to know how to play in order to join us..it is a quick and easy game, and we will gladly teach you. If you are interested in receiving an invitation to come to our next playdate, please contact us and will send you the details.
Caring in the Community
We meet monthly to do different service projects in the community. One of our main projects is sorting items at the Purple Cow on Jones Creek Road. We usually go to lunch together afterwards. It’s a great way to meet new people while helping our community.
Creative Cooking Creativecooking
Every month we organize an event around a theme at a member’s home to enjoy different cuisines with members showing us their cooking skills, or we have guest chefs. We also organize different culinary trips around the area. Come with an apron and be prepared to chop! We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
Hand & Foot Card Game
Hand & Foot is a fun and simple version of Canasta.  This card game can be played individually or with a partner   You are dealt two stacks of eleven cards each.  The stack you pick to play with first is your hand and the other is your foot.  You must play all of the cards in your hand before picking up the cards in the other stack which is your foot. To go out you must have one dirty and one natural Canasta and be able to play all of the cards in your foot. You are not allowed to pick up the discarded piles.  The game is very easy to play and it provides a lot of time to socialize.  We play the 2nd Monday of each month starting at 9:30 AM and ending in the afternoon, we have no set quitting time.  Come join us for a lot of fun!
Lunch Bunch
This group meets generally at 11:30 AM on the 4th Tuesday of the month at a restaurant in the Baton Rouge area for lunch.  Separate checks are requested and we order from the menu.  It is important to make a reservation if you are planning to attend.  Each month all of the information will be in the Newcomer and Encore newsletters.
Mahjongg
Mah Jongg is a chinese tile game.  We play the National Mah Jongg league of America version, which uses a card, which we send away for each year.  We have a wonderful bunch of ladies who play, and are always looking for new people to teach and enjoy.  We play for money, but only 3 dollars. If you lose your 3 dollars you still play and can actually win money back.  It certainly keeps things interesting.  We play every Friday from 9:30 till 1:30 with a break for lunch.  We all bring our own lunches and the hostess for the day supplies coffee, ice tea, or whatever.
Scrapbook Group
Do you need to work on photos that are gathering dust or unorganized?  This is for you! We get together once a month. Bring whatever supplies you have, but if you need supplies, they are also available for purchase from our scrapbooking leader.  This is for scrapbookers of all levels.
Supper Club

Supper Club meets on the second Saturday of the month from September through May.  We describe our menus as potluck with a theme.  The hostess picks a theme such as “Italian Night” and everyone calls or e-mails what they would like to bring (salad, main dish, starch).  The hostess provides coffee, soft drinks and a place to eat (paper or plastic is fine with this group).  Everyone brings there own wine (or whatever their drink of choice is…should they choose to drink).

Let's Party

LetspartyLet's Party is an casual evening of good food and great company. We meet once a month (Saturday evenings) at different member's homes. Members bring hearty buffet items that can be eaten without needing a knife, since it is not a sit-down format.  The hostess for the evening provides soft drinks, but if couples would like wine or beer, they bring their own. This is a wonderful, fun filled evening ... couples and single persons are welcome. Please come join us for a fun night out.
Wine Social
wine
Whether you're a wine connoisseur or not, you'll love coming out to our Wine Tasting Social.  The hostess of the month will pick a theme such as: Italian, Good ol' USA, French, etc... As a guest, you bring a bottle of wine based on the theme and a small appetizer.  During the social, you will taste any or all of the different wines and you rate them, superior, average or yuck.  Then I take all the rating sheets and I prepare a spreadsheet showing how each wine was rated.  You can then take the spreadsheet with you when you go wine shopping.  If you are interested in hosting a Wine Tasting, let us know.  You can pick any theme you like.  The Wine Tasting Socials are generally held on a Friday of each month.
